QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
I have a child between 8-12 years old; can they do the race with a group of friends while I stay back?
All kids between 8-12 years old will need to be accompanied by an adult and supervised throughout the race.
Can I register a child between 8-12 and accompany them on the course as a spectator?
Everyone on the course must be a registered participant, including parents and kids. All participants will have the option of choosing to skip any obstacle they wish.
What are the obstacles?
That is our secret until race day, but we have some new and exciting things planned for 2016!
What should I bring with me?
Obviously, you will want to wear clothing and shoes that can get muddy. It will be summer in the woods, so insect repellent is a good idea. A change of clothes for after the race is also good to have!
How challenging will the race be?
This race will span approximately 3 miles and have intermittent obstacles throughout. Any obstacle can be skipped if someone does not want to participate. There are a few steep hills that cannot be avoided. The level of challenge of this race largely depends on the participant, their level of intensity, and their participation in all obstacles.
Can I switch my heat times?
You can change your heat time as long as the heat you wish to transfer to is not filled up. Any heat request transfers should be sent to Tom at email@example.com and must be received one week prior to the race for consideration.
What is the course like?
The course winds through 160 acres of trail and woodland into which we’ve constructed very cool obstacles and challenges. Prepare to run trail that can be moderately hilly at some points but overall mild. Be aware that there are some parts of the course that require going up and down hills that are steeper.
Are spectators allowed?
Spectators are welcome, but they will not be able to view the participants once they enter into the woods for the race. Please also note that we have a limited amount of parking and request that all spectators carpool with race participants.
Where can I park?
All participants can park at the Harrisburg Picnic Postal Grounds at 1500 Roberts Valley Rd. Due to somewhat limited parking, anyone that can carpool is encouraged to do so.
Can I transfer my race bib to someone else?
